Nicotine 101

Public Health England have said and maintain that e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than smoking cigarettes. Since e-cigarettes do not release the same toxins (tar and carbon monoxide) as when tobacco is burned in a cigarette, they are a much safer alternative to smoking whilst continuing to provide a nicotine hit.

Although nicotine is an addictive substance and it is not un-common to hear people discussing the dangers of nicotine consumption, it is important to understand these claims. With this latest article, we want to reassure you that nicotine consumption through vaping is harmless, and this is a much safer method for satisfying your nicotine cravings than puffing on a cigarette.

Is there such thing as too much nicotine?

Over the years discussions around the dangers of nicotine led to a demonisation of this substance, but an exact lethal dose of nicotine has been relatively undetermined. Leading to much debate within the community, amongst professors, scientists, and other health experts.

On its own nicotine is not cancer causing nor is it excessively harmful. Since its association with tobacco products, it has earnt itself a bad reputation. Although it is still an addictive substance, many are now working to reverse these negative opinions, explaining that nicotine ‘could be as benign as the caffeine many of us get from a morning coffee.’

Nicotine within E-liquids

Nicotine consumption through inhaling an e-liquid is safe but you may experience some side effects if you consume too much nicotine in one sitting. This includes feelings of nausea and headaches. This may occur if you have been vaping for several hours and it is your body’s way of telling you to take a break.

Not only do our range of e-liquids come in a range of great flavours but are available in a variety of nicotine strengths too. So, you can choose the ideal nicotine strength for you.
