Frequently asked questions | Vaping FAQs

What is the best flavour e-liquid in the UK?
Year after year, the Cirro brand has topped the charts for the best-selling e-liquid flavours in the UK. However since they changed their recipe, their sales figures are in decline.

That tells us that the nation is missing it's beloved Cirro flavoured juice, which is why so many customers are praising Original C - for allowing them access to their long-lost flavours that taste exactly the same as how Cirro e-liquid used to.

In terms of the best flavour liquid in the UK, the menthol flavoured vape juice is by far the best-selling, closely followed by tobacco and then other stand-alone single fruit flavoured liquid like strawberry and raspberry.
Does it matter what e-liquid I use?
Yes it matters a great deal! Firstly, you have to be careful that you are selecting the right juice in terms of its PGVG ratio, depending on what e-cig you have.

Higher PG levels give you more of a throat hit, which is important if you're a new vaper looking to mimic the feeling of a cigarette on the inhale.

High VG E-liquid gives a much smoother throat hit. VG e-liquids tend to produce more flavour and vapour. These are the types of juice that you see being used by vapers with bigger style e-cig.
Are flavoured vape liquids being banned?
In some countries, flavoured vape liquids are already banned - such as some states in America. Other countries will be introducing such bans in the coming months or years.

Although it has been discussed at length here in the UK, it is unlikely that a flavour ban will come in to effect. E-cigarettes and vaping have been used as a nicotine delivery solution for smoking cessation professionals for some years in the UK, thanks to the condoning by Public Health England who repeatedly declare how vaping is a 95% safer alternative to smoking.
Is flavoured vape harmful?
Countries that have banned flavoured liquid have done so due to the potential appeal for children. However here in the UK, the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) has meant that vape brands have had to adhere to certain restrictions that prohibit marketing appeal to minors.
Why does e-liquid change colour?
This is due to a natural process called oxidation, which is the chemical reaction that occurs when nicotine is exposed to oxygen. It tends to give e-liquid a slight yellow tinge.

This process is also known as steeping and it helps e-liquids to develop and deepen their flavour notes.
How many cigarettes is 10 ml e-liquid equivalent to?
That all depends on the nicotine strength that you select. We suggest tailoring your nicotine to the style of smoking that you're accustomed to.

- If you're a casual smoker who smokes less than 5 per day, we would suggest a 3mg or 6mg nicotine juice. (3mg is available on our blended mix flavours).
- An ex-smoker of moderate use who smoked around 10+ cigarettes in a day would be best with a 11mg nicotine vape juice.
- A heavy smoker of about 20+ cigarettes per day would be better off with a 18mg vape liquid.

It's worth noting that using a high nicotine strength with high powered vape kits will produce an unpleasant throat hit. So if you're using a starter kit or a standard e-cigarette, a higher strength vape juice will be fine.
How long does a 10 ml e-liquid last?
How long is a piece of string? How long a 10 ml e-liquid lasts all depends on the vaper. How much you vape throughout the day will tell you how much eliquid you will need.

Typically speaking, the average vaper who used to smoke 20 cigarettes per day will find their 10 ml liquid lasting around five days, as a 10 ml bottle is roughly equivalent to 100 cigarettes.
Does vape juice go off?
All Original C 10 ml e-liquid juice has an expiration date. From the date of manufacture, Original C eliquids have a shelf life of around 2 years. After this time, the flavour will slowly begin to lessen, however it is not considered dangerous to vape liquid that has passed its expiry date.
